Spring dales School, Barnai, Jammu celebrated Annual Sports Day

Jammu, Feb 28: Springdales School,Barnai, Jammu celebrated its Annual Sports Day on Tuesday in the School ground. 
The event was marked with awe-inspiring grandeur and opulence, filled with some nail-biting moments by the young Springers, who put their heart and soul into the athletics that took place. The event commenced with the bouquet presentation to Worthy Principal ma’am followed by Saraswati Vandana by Samriti of class 8th.
The School Principal, Mrs Archna Jandev Manhas declared the Sports meet open by releasing colourful balloons, unfurling the motto of the school ‘Our best always’.This was followed by the oath-taking ceremony by the Sports Captains wherein they  promised to keep the spirit of sportsmanship high .Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. 
Students of Grade 1st to 10th competed Group wise in events including Sac race, Lemon and Spoon race, Tug of War and three-legged race. Various other sports events like 100m race, 200m race,600 m race and 800m were witnessed. Winners were awarded with certificates and medals. The school principal Mrs Archna Jandev Manhas in her Words of Wisdom,applauded the efforts of Sports Coach Sahil Sharma in putting up a great event.  Vote of Thanks was proposed by Sahil Sharma, Sports Coach to all those who had contributed to the event to make it a grand success.The programme concluded by singing the national anthem.
