Srinagar Jan 26: The employees of the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, Joint Director Office, and District Youth Services and Sports Office Srinagar took part in a vibrant Republic Day function organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports in collaboration with SSB 14th BN at the Sports Complex, Wazir Bagh, here.
The event marked a celebration of India’s 76th Republic Day, bringing together a spirit of unity and patriotism among the participants. The highlight of the ceremony was the hoisting of the National Flag by Gh Hassan Lone, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Srinagar. After unfurling the flag, Lone presented a salute to the National Flag and addressed the gathering. In his speech, he emphasized the significance of Republic Day as a reminder of the country’s democratic values and the hard-fought freedom that India enjoys today. He encouraged his fellow employees to uphold their duties with dedication and contribute to building a progressive and harmonious nation. The occasion was also marked by the distribution of sweets among the participants as a gesture of celebration and unity. The Department of Youth Services and Sports also organized similar functions in various districts across the UT, reflecting the widespread enthusiasm and national pride among the department’s employees.
