Jammu, March 08: The School of Business at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) organised TATVA – Management Fest on Saturday as part of EKTAVA-25, the university’s annual festival.
The event provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase their exceptional talents, helping them develop adaptability to workplace challenges. Nine diverse activities were conducted to assess students’ creativity, innovation, decision-making, managerial acumen, and entrepreneurial skills. Participants from within the university and external institutions took part in both individual and group competitions.
Distinguished alumni, along with faculty members from SMVDU and external institutions, were invited as expert evaluators for the competitions. Prof. Pragati Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of SMVDU, emphasised the significance of such management fests in fostering holistic student development and unearthing hidden talents. Dr. Deepak Jain, event coordinator, commended the students’ efforts and expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for encouraging such initiatives. He also acknowledged Prof. Jyoti Sharma, Head of the School of Business, and Prof. Ashutosh Vashishtha, Dean, Faculty of Management, for their unwavering support. The guests and faculty appreciated the initiative, highlighting its role in enhancing interpersonal skills and encouraging students to think beyond academics, thereby contributing to their overall personality development.
