Katra, April 09: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) marked a key milestone with the launch of its new admission portal, for the academic session 2025–26. The inauguration ceremony took place at the Matrika Auditorium and was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Pragati Kumar, in the presence of deans, heads of departments, faculty members, administrative staff and members of the press.
The portal is designed to simplify and digitise the admission process for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes offered by the university. With a focus on user-friendly navigation and enhanced accessibility, the platform promises a seamless experience for applicants from across the country. In his inaugural address, Professor Kumar expressed pride in the university’s progressive digital infrastructure, emphasising its commitment to transparency, efficiency, and inclusivity in the admissions process. “This portal marks the beginning of a transformative academic journey for aspiring students and reflects our dedication to leveraging technology for improved governance and service delivery,” he said. The launch was welcomed by academic and administrative leaders, who praised the collaborative effort behind the portal’s development. Faculty and staff were also in attendance in large numbers to witness the occasion, which was widely covered by regional media. Prospective candidates can access the portal via the university’s official website at www.smvdu.ac.in. Detailed information on courses, eligibility, fee structures, and application deadlines is available on the platform. SMVDU invites all eligible applicants to explore its academic offerings and become part of its vibrant and inclusive learning environment.
