Srinagar, July 24: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) launched an aggressive anti-encroachment campaign on the Bagander Humhama-Wanabal route and its surrounding links, cracking down on illegal occupiers and encroachers.
The drive, spearheaded by the diligent efforts of concerned ward officer of Humhama Ward 33, witnessed the removal of barricades, stones, and encroachments alongside roads and outside shops and residences.
The initiative aims to restore the city’s public spaces and ensure smooth traffic flow. The ward officer has vowed to continue the campaign against encroachers, warning that strict action will be taken against anyone who continues to illegally occupy public spaces.
Local residents expressed their gratitude to the SMC Humhama-33 ward officer and sanitation officer for their immediate action in resolving the issue. The anti-encroachment drive has received positive feedback from the community, with hopes that it will enhance the overall living experience in the area.
