Kulgam, Aug 23: Six youngsters from Kulgam district have made their mark in the Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination (JKCCE) 2022.
The results of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) were announced on Tuesday evening by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC). A total of 218 students cleared the exams.
Among the achievers, a young girl has stood out by securing the impressive 12th rank in this significant exam.
Shajat Farooq, daughter of Farooq Ahmad Ahanger from Watoo Aharbal, has earned the 12th rank.
Zeeshan Elyas, son of Mohd Elyas Pandith, has secured the 14th rank in the Open Merit Category (OM).
Senior Pandith told Rising Kashmir that this is even more impressive as he tried last year but didn’t make it past the interview round.
Rahil Amin, son of Mohd Amin Malik from Qasba Khull Noorabad, achieved the 17th rank. Remarkably, Rahil last year achieved the 109th rank.
Masroor Gayas, son of Gayas Ud Din from Mohipora, secured the 49th rank. Impressively, Masroor managed this success on his first attempt, even as he was finishing up his MBBS training.
Arif Hussain Laway, son of Qamar Zaman Laway from Manzgam Noorabad, achieved the 50th rank. Arif missed out last year because of a tie-breaker, but he came back strongly this time.
Mohd Sufder Bhat, son of Late Abdul Ahad Bhat from Srandoo Kulgam, secured the 109th Rank. Despite coming from a less fortunate background, Sufder’s success shows his strong determination and spirit.
Meanwhile, Imran Nabi Dar, the State Spokesperson of the J&K National Conference (NC), extended his heartfelt congratulations to the successful candidates, with a special mention of the qualifiers from Kulgam.
“Congratulations to all those who have cracked the KAS exams particularly from Kulgam. Your hard work and determination have paid off, and your success is truly inspiring. Wishing you all a bright and successful journey ahead.”
