Jammu, Nov 03: Members of Shiv Sena Hindustan Jammu and Kashmir president Pt. Rajesh Kesri led the party in paying tributes to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devender Singh Rana who passed away recently.
During the meeting, party leaders observed a two-minute silence in memory of Rana, praying for peace for his departed soul and strength for his family to cope with the profound loss, the party said in a statement.
Kesri used the occasion to strongly condemn Pakistan and Nepal for their alleged roles in destabilising Jammu and Kashmir by sponsoring terrorism. He praised the efforts of J&K Police, Additional DGP Jammu and IGP Kashmir for their strategic planning that resulted in the elimination of two terrorists in the Halkan area of Anantnag district.
“Pakistan aims to undermine the democratically elected government of Jammu and Kashmir by sending mercenary terrorists to create chaos,” Kesri stated. He urged the central government to take decisive action against these threats to fortify the elected administration in Jammu and Kashmir. “It is the government’s responsibility to maintain stability in the region,” he said.
