Bandipora, July 07: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Sheep Husbandry department Bandipora designated as the Nodal department for the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme in the district, successfully organized a workshop-cum-awareness programme at the Conference Hall, Dak Bungalow, Sumbal Bandipora.According to a statement issued here, district Sheep husbandry Officer Bandipora, who is also the District Nodal Officer (DNO), PMFME, elaborated on the scheme’s significance, highlighting its role in empowering individual entrepreneurs and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) through financial and technical support.On the occasion, District resource person delivered a comprehensive presentation on the PMFME scheme, detailing its objectives, components, eligibility criteria and the application process. He urged participants to make the most of the scheme’s provisions to enhance their income and establish sustainable enterprises.During the event, a special address was delivered by the Lead District Manager, J&K Bank, who shed light on various banking and insurance products available to the beneficiaries. He also highlighted the synergy between PMFME and financial institutions in fostering rural entrepreneurship and financial inclusion.
