Jammu, Feb 18: The Roll ball National Championship-2023, organized by J&K Sports Council in collaboration with Roll-ball Association of Jammu and Kashmir was declared open at Birla Open Minds International school on Saturday.
Madhu Sharma Khajuria technical committee chairman,Sudhir Singh organising secretary of Roll ball championship andRaju Dabhade, founder of Roll Ball was present on the occasion. The championship was declared open by Aparana Kohli as a chief guest, which was organised under the aegis of Roll-ball Federation of India.
About 600 players including girls and boys from all over the country are taking part in this event.
In total, 8 matches were played between boys and girls team. Among them, Rajasthan- Assam Girls team won the roll ball championship and Jammu & Kashmir- Tamil Nadu Girls Team was the runner up.
Also, Delhi-Sikkim Boys team won the roll ball championship and Jharkhand- Goa boys’ team was the runner-up.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Aparana Kohli lauded the efforts of the J&K Rollball Association for conducting such a mega sports event in the city of temple. She also addressed the students not to involve in any type of drug addiction but to involve themselves in sports activities.
