The Back to Village program’s fifth phase entered its second round in Samba district amid visit of several senior government functionaries to their allotted Panchayats. They engaged with the local community and assessed the progress of the flagship programs.
The program’s primary objective is to amplify public outreach, facilitate public participation and gather valuable feedback to tailor government efforts towards delivering village-specific services.
The events were conducted across 58 Gram Panchayats of 4 Blocks namely Ghaghwal, Ramgarh, Vijaypur, Samba.
Senior officers including Director Handloom and Handicrafts, Vikas Gupta; MD, JKTPO Khalid Jahangir, Special secretary Culture Department, Trishala Kundal evaluated the progress of development works in the Panchayats.
The visiting officers inspected different government institutions, including schools, Anganwadi centers, Ration depots, health institutions, and Panchayat Ghars.
They also assessed ongoing and completed works under MGNREGA, Capex Budget, PMAY, SBM, among others.
