Jammu, July 29: A joint search operation was launched in Kathua district of Jammu region on Tuesday after some locals informed the security forces about the suspicious movement of three persons in the Rajbagh area of the district late Monday night.“The joint search operation has been going on in Kathua,” a senior Army official confirmed to Rising Kashmir, while adding, “but we can confirm it officially only after the contact is established with the trapped terrorists”. The search operation was launched after a woman of the area spotted three suspected persons in the Rajbagh area of Kathua District late Monday night.A joint team of the Indian Army, Police and Special Operations Group (SoG) is engaged in the search and vigilance has been intensified in and around the area and along the highway.The security forces are combing the area around the Ujh River, a known infiltration route from across the border.Meanwhile, the security forces have urged the locals to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Police.
