Srinagar, Feb 22: Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), GN Itoo on Sunday said that all government schools in the Kashmir division will initiate a special ‘Enrollment Drive’ from March 1 to March 15. This initiative will involve the active participation of school heads, teachers, and students.
He said that schools will reopen on March 1 following the winter break, with the department having made all necessary preparations for this transition.
“March 1 will be designated as ‘Welcome Day’ for students, and all teaching staff are expected to return to their duties to ensure a joyful celebration with the students,” Itoo stated.
He further elaborated that from March 1 to March 15, special ‘Enrollment Drives’ will take place throughout the Kashmir province, engaging school heads, teachers, and students in the process.
“The department has established a monitoring system to guarantee the effective execution of this campaign, ensuring that no child is excluded from school,” the DSEK remarked.
In his appeal to parents, GN Itoo emphasized the importance of enrolling all children who are not currently attending school, so that every child in the Kashmir division can benefit from the free education provided by the government.
