Jammu, Jan 16: A school bus carrying students and teachers from a private school overturned on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway, resulting in injuries to eight students and three teachers. The accident happened near DC office (Morh) in Samba district.
According to SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, the accident occurred when the school bus turned turtle. “All the injured individuals were promptly shifted to the Sub District Hospital Samba for medical attention. Fortunately, the injuries were reported as minor, and everyone is safe,” he confirmed.
Upon receiving information about the incident, locals and the police acted swiftly to provide assistance and transport the injured to the hospital. Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma, and SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, visited the hospital to inquire about the well-being of those injured.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that all students and teachers had suffered minor injuries and are safe. The authorities are now investigating the cause of the accident to determine further necessary actions.
