Rakif Khan’s Vintage Bakery gains popularity for making theme-based cakes

Vintage Bakery – a bakery outlet in Srinagar is gaining popularity among the people in Kashmir for making customized theme-based cakes  and they are getting positive response from people for exploring new trends in bakery business.
It’s founder Rakif Khan says that Vintage Bakery specializes in making theme-based cakes for weddings, birthdays celebrations and other range of treats including cupcakes, traybakes, traditional bakes, and decorated cookies.
Hailing from the Batamaloo area of Srinagar, Khan, a young entrepreneur did his MBA in HR and Tourism from Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) Awantipora. After that, he worked for 7-8 years for different companies and outlets across the country.
After gaining experience, he came back to Kashmir and laid foundation of  Vintage Bakery in 2021.
Khan told Rising Kashmir that theme-based cakes are getting popular in Kashmir and over the past several months, he got a positive response from the people.
“When I came back, I thought I shall start something unique and laid the foundation of the manufacturing unit and outlet of Vintage Bakery in Natipora and this year, we shifted outlet to Jawahar Nagar,” he said.
He is not only winning hearts with theme-based cakes but also providing empowerment to 8 people in his outlet. 
Khan says customers can give our chefs a theme and they go way above and beyond, they’re very creative. You can tell that they put in a lot of love and attention while making a prouct, he said.
 The Vintage founder is now aiming to make the cakes as personalized and memorable as possible.
In Khan’s Vintage Bakery’ there is an Executive Bakery Chef, Head Bakery Chef, Junior Chef and other members that make his outlet memorable to customers.
“We are even ready to invite customers to see our manufacturing unit and see for themselves the ingredients that go into the making,” he said.
About future plans, Khan says initially they will expand their outlet in the Jawahar Nagar area and also open a café in the same place. “In the future, we will expand this bakery chain in the entire Kashmir,” he said.
