Rajouri: MP Jugal Kishore calls for timely completion of projects

Rajouri, May 10: Jammu-Poonch Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) of Rajouri district to review the progress of various Centrally-sponsored schemes.
The meeting was attended by several officials, including the ADC Rajouri, DFO Rajouri and Nowshera, ACR, ACD, CPO, PO ICDS, GM DIC, ACP, SE Hydraulics, SE PWD, and other concerned officers. The District member of DISHA, Dr. Nisar Choudhary, also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on the progress and achievements under different schemes being implemented in various sectors of the district, such as MGNREGA, CRF, NABARD PMGSY, NSAP, SSA, PMJDY, APY, PMJJBY, PMSBY, PMMY, PMUY, PMEGP, Poshan Abhiyan, PM Kisan, KCC, soil health cards, ICPS, BADP, BBBP, NHM, housing for all, PMAY-U, PMAGY, NSAP, ISSS, and other centrally sponsored schemes.
DDC Rajouri, Vikas Kundal gave a PowerPoint presentation on the progress and status of different developmental projects and progress in the implementation of the centrally sponsored schemes being executed and implemented in the district by different agencies.
Regarding the Progress made under CRF, the SE PWD informed that 10 projects are underway across the district. He assured that the works will be completed within this year. The MP was further informed 114 NABARD Funded projects are also underway across the district out of which 25 have been completed.
The Assistant Commissioner Development Rajouri informed that out of 28981 works taken up under MGNREGA, 11769 works have been completed generating 27.05 lakh man-days. He also informed that 646 families have been provided with 100 days of employment.
Under SBM, 161 Segregation sheds and 150 Community sanitary complexes have been constructed in the district, the ACP informed. He also informed that door-to-door collection of solid waste has been started in the panchayats to achieve the goal of Swachh Green Rajouri.
It was further informed that 23954 houses under PMAY-G and 3741 houses under AWAAS PLUS have been completed in the district, while 293 Jal Jeevan Mission schemes comprising 677 components have been approved at a project cost of Rs 1942.80 cores and 653 components have been allotted and 72 components completed.
“The meeting proved to be an excellent opportunity for officials to exchange ideas and assess the progress of various schemes being implemented in the district,” said MP Jugal Kishore Sharma while chairing the meeting.
Jugal Kishore Sharma emphasized the importance of prompt and efficient implementation of the Central schemes and projects in the district. He stressed the need for transparency and accountability in the execution of the projects and urged officers to work with dedication and sincerity towards the development of the district.
The MP also highlighted the need to monitor the progress of centrally sponsored schemes to ensure effective and efficient implementation. He encouraged officers to work in coordination with each other and prioritize projects based on the needs of the people.
