R-D 2024: Full dress rehearsal held at M A Stadium

JAMMU, JANUARY 24: The M A Stadium in Jammu witnessed a vibrant and well-coordinated full dress rehearsal today in preparation for the Union Territory-level celebration of Republic Day 2024. The parade showcased the strength and unity of the region with participants from various segments of the community.
Men and women contingents from the Army, BSF, CRPF, JKP, JKAP, SSB, NCC cadets, ex-servicemen, Bharat Scouts & Guides, and school students took part in the impressive parade. The tunes for the march past were skillfully played by the Pipe and Brass bands of BSF, JKP, JKAP, and the Army.
Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, presided over the event, inspecting the parade and taking the salute during the impactful march past. The cultural aspect of the celebration was brought to life by school children and artists from the J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages, presenting a colorful program with theme-based performances.
The Dare Devils of Jammu and Kashmir Police left the audience mesmerized with their spectacular and thrilling performances. Additionally, athletes and sportspersons from the J&K Sports Council showcased acrobatics and various sports.
The cultural presentations reflected themes of national integration, unity in diversity, harmony, and the composite culture of the Jammu Kashmir Union Territory. Government initiatives were highlighted, and the program featured patriotic songs, folk music, and dance.
The event also showcased impressive tableaux representing themes such as Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Aajeevika se Atma Nirbharta, Har Ghar Nal Se Jal, Khelo India, Vimalam Gramam- Swachhata aur Vikas ka Sankalp, and PM SHRI, showcasing the initiatives and achievements of the Government.
Senior officers from the Union Territory administration, Nodal officers, and In charges were in attendance, adding to the significance of the rehearsal in ensuring a seamless and impactful Republic Day celebration.
