‘Police takes action against persons for killing stray dog’

Ganderbal, Aug 29: In a prompt and decisive response, Ganderbal Police have booked two individuals for brutally killing a stray dog in Safapora in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.The incident, which came to light through reliable sources and social media sparked outrage among residents for its inhumane and cruel nature. Acting swiftly, Police Station Safapora registered a case FIR No.13/2025 under relevant provisions, including the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.Following an investigation, the accused were identified and taken into custody. Further legal proceedings are ongoing.
