Srinagar, Jan 19: J&K State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) celebrated its Annual Raising Day, here on Thursday.
The contingents of SDRF and NDRF presented a March past jointly on the occasion.
Firdous Iqbal, Divisional Commandant, Homeguards, Kashmir presided over the function and took salute on March past.
Addressing officials and contingents of SDRF and NDRF, the Divisional Commandant highlighted the dedication exhibited by SDRF and NDRF while conducting Rescue operations during disasters and conducting Disaster preparedness Awareness programmes in different institutions and at the community level.
Wasim Qadri, SSP, Commandant SDRF 1st Bn was also present during the Annual Raising Day function. Besides, various officers of SDRF and NDRF and Civil Defense participated in the Raising Day function including Dev Darshan, Dy Commandant NDRF, Amara Naseem, Dy Controller, Civil Defence and Rashad Khan, Dy SP SDRF.
