Srinagar, Aug 06: In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, Police along with Geology and Mining Department Wednesday seized five tractors and a tipper involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Ganderbal district of Central Kashmir.As per a statement issued here, these vehicles were illegally loaded with minor minerals extraction from Nallah Sind Ganderbal and were seized within the jurisdiction of Police Post Nagbal. This proactive approach to curb illegal mining has been actively taken up by district Police and Geology and Mining Department, thereby ensuring the individuals involved in such illegal activities are legally prosecuted. These seizures highlight the commitment of Police towards acting tough against these violators. Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding illegal mining activities in their neighbourhood. Police assure complete anonymity and strict action against the violators as per law.
