Police on Wednesday said that they have rescued nomad families alongwith their livestock including a vehicle driver & a bike rider in Kishtwar district.
A Police spokesperson said, “Kishtwar Police received a SOS call that some nomads alongwith their livestock, one Tata Mobile bearing registration No. JK17A-9777 and one Motorcycle bearing No PB08BU-8055 were stuck in between Naribal area of MargonTop due to heavy snowfall.”
“On this SOS call, SSP Kishtwar Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS constituted a special team lead by Insp Sameer Ahmed SHO PS Warwan for conducting rescue operations and launched a rescue operation in the said area. During the rescue operation, nomad family along with their livestock of more than 100 sheep and their essential commodities were shifted to the safer place and also rescued one Tata mobile along with driver and one motorcycle rider”, he said.
General Public of kishtwar appreciated the role of kishtwar in safeguarding the lives and properties of common peoples.
