Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed to have re-arrested two accused persons, “affiliates” of Lashker-e-Toiba in the north Kashmir district on Wednesday evening.
A Police spokesperson said, “In continuation to earlier message with regard to escape of two accused who were under custody at PS Baramulla escaped this morning and case FIR under relevant sections of law was registered.”
“During the course of the investigation, Baramulla Police collected the CCTV footage of the incident.Police after utilising technical & human intelligence and after hectic efforts both the accuseds have been arrested this evening from old town Baramulla and are presently under custody at Police Station Baramulla. Investigation into the case is going on.”, he said.
As per the Police, Two accused persons, “affiliates” of Lashker-e-Toiba, escaped from police station Baramulla in wee hours on Wednesday.
They said that the accused, Maroof Nazir Soleh of Kanlibagh and Shahid Showkat Bala of Banglowbagh, managed their way during Sehri time.
