Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament: AG’s Office 11, FC-1 reach final

Srinagar, Dec 29: On the seventh day of the 18th Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament organized by J&K Police, two matches were played at TRC Football Ground here on Thursday.
Match No.38 (1st Semi-Final)
The match started at 1200 hrs between AG’s Office 11 and IFC Kashmir at Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar in presence of Rakesh Balwal, IPS SSP Srinagar. AG’s Office 11 won the match by 7:0 goals. Two goals were scored by Karun Raina, Jersey No-14 and 4 goals were scored by Shakir Jersey No-24. The Man of the Match was awarded to Shakir Jersey No-24 of the winning team for his excellent performance.
Match No.39 (2nd Semi-Final)
The match started at 1430 hrs between FC-1 and J&K Police XI at Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar in presence of Tahir Geelani, SP West. FC-1 won the match by 4:2 goals via a tiebreaker. The goals were scored by Hayat Bashir, Jersey No-30, Zubair Ahmad, Jersey No-34 and Amir Nisar, Jersey No-31 of the winning team and from the losing team the goals were scored by Aijaz Ahmad, Jersey No-26 and Mansoor Ahmad, Jersey No-04. The Man of the Match was awarded to Fahad, Jersey No-01 (goalkeeper) of FC-1 for his best performance.
The matches were played in presence of the officers and officials associated with the organizing of the tournament including Wasim Aslam Chairman JKFA, Prof. B.A Shah Tournament Director, Bashir Ahmed Malik President DFA Sgr, Mohammad Shafi Nari (Retd. DySP ex-International Footballer), Nazir Ahmed Bhat HOR, Nazir Ahmed Indrabi, Latief Ahmad (Ex-International Football Player), Mohd Rafiq Maqdoomi, Zahoor Ahmad Teli (Treasurer DFA Sgr) Showkat Masoodi Secretary DFA Sgr and senior referees Muzaffer Ahmad, Farooq Shaheen and Farooq Ah Bhat. Sports Officer Kuldeep Handoo-Dy.SP (Dronacharya awardee), Sajad Hussain DySP, Inspector Ranjeet Singh, Inspector Nisar Ahmad Mir-I/C CST, Inspector Mohammad Younis, Inspector Madhupal Singh, Mohammad Hussain I/C Sports APHQ, Inspector Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar Manager Bakshi Stadium and other concerned officers.
The glimpses of the matches of the event were captured by Mr. Rayees Ahmed Mir of APHQ and photographers of Zonal Photo Hqrs Kashmir.
