Police crackdown on banned Organizations with extensive raids in Anantnag

In a major crackdown on Proscribed organizations, Anantnag Police conducted extensive raids across the district as part of an ongoing investigation to dismantle terror-linked networks and curb unlawful activities.

The coordinated searches targeted residences, shops, and premises of individuals suspected of having links with banned organizations. The key locations included:

🔹 Mattan Chowk, Anantnag – Residence of Ashaq Hussain Narchor (Tehreek-e-Huriyat)

🔹 Waghama – Residence of Fayaz Ahmad Dass (Tehreek-e-Huriyat)

🔹 Satkipora, Srigufwara – Residence of Mohd Rafiq Dar (Tehreek-e-Huriyat)

🔹 Bijbehara – Residence of Ghulam Nabi Sumji (Muslim Conference)

🔹 Kadipora, Anantnag – Residence of Manzoor Ahmad Misger (Muslim Conference)

🔹 Malaknag, Kadipora, Anantnag – Residences of Mukthar Ahmad Sofi & Mukthar Ahmad Waza (Jammu Kashmir People’s League)

🔹 Zaldoora, Dooru – Residence of Mohd Shafi Khan (Hurriyat)

These proactive operations aim to neutralize networks that threaten peace and stability in the district.

Anantnag Police remains resolute in maintaining law and order and ensuring Public security. Strict action will continue against individuals and groups engaged in unlawful activities.

The Public is urged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to assist in safeguarding the region’s peace and stability.
