Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A spokesperson said, “A police party headed by SHO PS Tangmarg during naka checking established at Bus Stand Tangmarg intercepted one person who tried to flee away but was apprehended tactfully, who was later identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir son of Ab Hameed Mir resident of Ferozpora Tangmarg. During his search, officer was able to recover 35 grams of contraband Charas like substances. He has been arrested and shifted to police station Tangmarg where he remains in custody.”
“Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at police station Tangmarg and investigation have been initiated”, he said.
