Participants reach Ladakh to participate in first ever Pangong Frozen Lake Marathon

Leh, Feb18: Participants across the country along with foreigners reached Ladakh to participate in the first ever Pangong Frozen Lake Marathon to be held on February 20 this year.
 
An official told Rising Kashmir that Adventure Sports foundation of Ladakh in collaboration with LAHDC Leh is going organise India’s first and world’s highest frozen lake marathon on Frozen Pangong lake that will be started on 20th February. 
 
It is also an attempt to make the Guinness World Record for the world’s highest frozen lake marathon.
 
Before some days CEC tashi Gyalson unveiled the official kit and accessories for the first. He also extended his good wishes to all the participants
 
Talking to Rising Kashmir CEC LAHDC Leh Tashi Gyalson said that we flag off the participants to Pangong for further two days acclimatization and practice before the event on 20 February.
He said that this is a golden opportunity to etch your name in the Guinness World Records.
While congratulating and appreciated the efforts of the Adventure Sports Foundation of Ladakh for this mega event he said that Locals, foreigners gear up to participate in 1st Pangong Frozen Lake Marathon.They were asked to take a holistic approach and ensure necessary arrangements for the participants.
It certainly will be the next-level marathon ever at such an altitude.
