Srinagar, June 26: A one-day awareness workshop under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme was conducted by the Area Marketing Office, district Nodal Office PMFME at Darbagh, Harwan in Srinagar.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of potential beneficiaries, along with representatives from various designated departments and associated functionaries. The workshop aimed to spread awareness about the benefits and procedures under the PMFME scheme to support individuals and groups engaged or interested to establish new units or upgrade the existing ones in the food processing sector. Mohammad Shafi Rather, District Nodal Officer PMFME delivered detailed lectures highlighting key features, objectives, and benefits of the scheme. Representatives from Sheep Husbandry, Horticulture, Agriculture, Krishi Vigyan Kendra and other allied departments also actively contributed and delivered lectures with notable input from the District Resource Person. The PMFME awareness campaign is being carried out vigorously across the district to ensure that eligible individuals, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Self Help Groups (SHGs), cooperatives, and other entities are well-informed and positioned to avail the wide range of benefits offered under the Scheme
