With a vast experience in diversified fields like painting, sketching, calligraphy (English and Arabic), crafting, etc., Noureen combines calligraphy and painting to present a theme or a story.
Last year, Noureen presented a start-up idea namely “art.bimble” during her training under Western Sydney University, in which she secured a position in the top ten entrepreneurial ideas.
The 25-year-old has completed a wide range of training programs. She has started an online artistic start-up customizing and teaching a host of visual arts from calligraphy and sketching to portrait making and painting to crafting.
Noureen is taking orders for making art works form last four years. However, her busy academic schedule forces her to cancel certain orders, occasionally.
She is currently pursuing M.Sc. Biochemistry from SKUAST-Kashmir.
Recently, she launched a YouTube channel titled “art.bimble” to share her personal experience as an artist.
“Art is an escape for me and it keeps me sane. I can’t imagine living a life where I am not doing it, in whichever capacity,” she said.
Hailing from Lal Bazar area of Srinagar, she started artwork in her early childhood and didn’t stop. “Nature has always been inspiring to me. Allah is the best artist and his art arouses curiosity in me when it is not distracting me,” she said.
“I combine painting and calligraphy to illustrate a story or a concept, thus making my artworks theme-based,” she said.
Over the years, the young artist has won many awards and certificates for her artworks.She secured first consolation prize in Business Pitching Competition organized by Govt. College of Engineering and Technology Jammu on August 28, 2021.
She also received award and certificate of appreciation for securing third prize in the painting competition held in connection with the celebration of international day for biological diversity 2019 by J&K State Biodiversity Board.
