Srinagar, Nov 11: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) in Shopian conducted a search operation in Rawalpora Shopian in connection with the case pertaining to recent terror attack on non-local labourers in Gagren Shopian.
A police spokesperson in a statement said, “Search was carried out in the non-residential house of active terrorist Hanzal Yaqoob Shah son of Mohammad Yaqoob Shah linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT for his involvement in case FIR No. 126/2023 under section 3 07 IPC, 7/27 IAA, 16, 18, 20, 23, 38, 39 UAP Act of P/S Shopian.”
According to SIU officials, the search operation, conducted within the framework of legal procedures, aims to dismantle the terror ecosystem and eliminate terrorism in its entirety. Authorities are committed to pursuing justice and ensuring that those responsible for the attack face the consequences of their actions.
It is pertinent mentioning here the incident occurred on July 13, 2023 when terrorists, armed with illicit weapons, targeted and injured three non-local labourers in Gagren Shopian.
