Rather lauds DIPR’s media coordination

Jammu, Apr 04: Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Abdul Rahim Rather on Saturday expressed deep appreciation for the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) and other line departments for their coordinated efforts in ensuring the smooth and efficient conduct of the Budget Session 2026.

The Speaker also lauded the contributions of other allied departments, including the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Police, Health, Transport, Power, Hospitality and Protocol, and other supporting agencies for maintaining seamless arrangements throughout the session period. "Their collective efforts ensured orderly proceedings, security management, logistical support, and uninterrupted services for legislators, officials, media personnel, and visitors," he said.

It is pertinent to mention that DIPR established a dedicated Press Room in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Complex with dedicated teams for the facilitation of media persons, proper coverage, and timely dissemination of House proceedings to the media. The department also played an effective role in media coordination and the smooth operation of the Public Address System throughout the entire Budget Session 2026.
