Jammu, Nov 18: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali on Monday criticised the National Conference (NC) for its “unfulfilled promises” made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir during election campaigns.
“The party must fulfill the assurances like providing free LPG cylinders, free electricity and the restoration of Article 370 rather than mislead the public with hollow rhetoric,” Ali said after organising a Membership Drive Sammelan at Koteranka to strengthen the party’s base and encourage active participation from grassroots workers.
Speaking on the restoration of statehood, Zulfkar said, “Restoration of statehood is not an issue as it is the commitment of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji to the residents of J&K. BJP is dedicated to fulfilling the aspirations of the people with sincerity and transparency.”
He accused NC of having a communal agenda, saying that BJP stands firmly for inclusive development. He called upon party workers to remain dedicated to serving the people selflessly, working around the clock to address their concerns and build trust within the community.
The Sammelan concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among party workers to achieve the targets of the membership drive and continue serving the people of the Budhal Assembly with unwavering dedication, the statement said.
