Srinagar, Aug 06: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference has urged the divisional administration to ensure smooth upcoming Urs observances of Hazrat Sultan Ali Aali Balki (RA), Hazrat Baba Dawood Khaki (RA) and Hazrat Nasir-Ud-Din Bengali Suharwardhy (RA) at their revered shrines in Pakharpora, Hari Parbat and Syeda Kadal.
In a statement, Party General Secretary and I/C Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar and senior leader & in-charge Charar-e-Sharief Abdul Ràhim Rather asked the divisional administration to rise to the occasion. They stressed that the devotees visiting the shrines should not face any inconvenience due to the lack of basic civic amenities and other facilities.
The duo called on various line departments and shrine management committees to work together to cater to the increased number of devotees during the Urs days, making it essential for the district administration to enhance arrangements and facilities.
“It is crucial for the divisional and district administration, along with its line departments, to collaborate and ensure adequate drinking water, power supply, and transport facilities in and around the shrine premises,” they said.
