Srinagar, Aug 21: As part of the ongoing ‘Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan,’ Cultural Unit Srinagar, Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) Thursday organised multiple impactful awareness programmes on Thursday in collaboration with various government and private schools of Srinagar including Linton Hall Rajbagh, Bonvivant School Eidgah, GBHS Dara Harwan, GBHS New Theed Harwan and GBSS Rangteng Nawakadal Srinagar. According to a statement issued here, the highlight of the programmes were short plays presented by local Artist groups carrying a strong social message against drug abuse, which received wide appreciation from students, teachers, and participants for its powerful delivery. The events also featured a pledge ceremony and an inspiring speech by the Cultural Officer Srinagar, urging the youth to lead disciplined, healthy lives and to stand united against the menace of drugs. Principals and Heads of the institutions lauded the efforts of the Cultural Unit Srinagar and praised the keen commitment of Burhan Hussain, Cultural officer at JDI-K in steering the campaign with dedication, ensuring that awareness reaches every section of society and strengthening the collective resolve to make Srinagar a drug-free city.
