JAMMU, Feb 07:–Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered an FIR against a police Inspector at whose house Arif, a government school teacher-turned-LeT terrorist, and involved in Narwal twin blasts, was allegedly living as a tenant.
A senior Police officer said on Tuesday that the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) Inspector, whose residence the terrorist Arif resided as a tenant, will have to face the law because a FIR has been made against him following his thorough questioning.
Arif, a government teacher, was arrested earlier this month for carrying out twin blasts on January 21in the Narwal region of Jammu.
“We are investigating the matter and a FIR has been formally lodged against the JKP Police official as he is found guilty of ignoring the government order and not having the terrorist who was staying at his home as a tenant in Peerbagh Colony in Sunjwan area of Jammu verified,” SDPO Jammu East, Zahir Abbas Zaffri told Rising Kashmir.
“The investigation is continuing on and so far the role of the JKP’s Police Inspector has not surfaced in the involvement of terrorist activities,” the SDPO further informed but said, “A FIR has been made against him and he will have to face law of the land”.
The arrested terrorist Arif was involved in 4 terror attacks including the Narwal twin blasts and is an active terrorist of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT). He belongs to Reasi District of Jammu region.
