Unprecedented dev in J&K since 2014
Modi govt ends violence in J&K
JAMMU, July 06: Asserting that Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) is experiencing unprecedented peace and development under the Modi government, BJP National President JP Nadda on Saturday asked party workers to be ready for the upcoming assembly elections in the region.
Speaking at the BJP State Executive meeting, Nadda emphasized the absence of bomb blasts and cross-border firing in the Union Territory.
“There are no more bomb blasts in J&K and in any other part of the country, and neither is there any firing from across the border,” Nadda stated while addressing media persons and BJP office bearers. “Unlike in the past when Indian forces deployed on the borders had to seek permission to retaliate to the firing from across the border, the Modi government gave a free hand to the forces, and the people are living a peaceful life now. This is the new Bharat under the leadership of Modi,” he said, adding that any terrorist who manages to infiltrate is neutralized within a week.
Addressing the gathering,Nadda urged party leaders and workers to prepare thoroughly for the upcoming Assembly elections, assuring that they would be conducted in a tranquil environment after decades.
Highlighting the achievements of the Modi government, Nadda lauded the abrogation of Article 370, fulfilling what he described as the “dream of BJP ideologue Dr.Shyama Prasad Mukherjee after 60 years.” Nadda paid tribute to Dr. Mukherjee, noting the significance of this historic decision.
Nadda received a warm welcome from his party workers on his arrival in Jammu and was taken in a procession to the meeting venue, where he paid rich tributes to BJP ideologue Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his 123rd birth anniversary. He stated that the BJP-led government has lived true to its slogan of ‘sabkasaath, sabkavikas, sabkavishwas,’ and added, “Today Jammu and Kashmir, along with Ladakh, is marching ahead with the rest of the country without any complaint of discrimination or injustice from anywhere. This happened because of the Modi government.”
He further noted that two crore tourists visited Jammu and Kashmir last year, highlighting the improved situation following the abrogation of Article 370.
Nadda pointed to the significant developmental strides made in J&K since the BJP took power in 2014. “J&K has been witnessing unprecedented development. There are two AIIMS in J&K, besides other prestigious institutes. Expressways and other mega projects speak volumes about the development here since 2014,” he noted.
Criticizing the Congress party, Nadda remarked on their portrayal of the recent LokSabha election results. “The seats won by the INDIA alliance in the recent LokSabha elections were collectively fewer than those won by the BJP. Yet, they (Congress) present it as a victory, which is only their desperation,” he asserted.
G. Krishna Reddy, J&K election in charge, also addressed the gathering, urging BJP members to be well-prepared for the Assembly elections and to actively engage with the public.
Nadda to review preparedness of Jammu AIIMS today
BJP National President JP Nadda is set to visit the prestigious health institute AIIMS at Vijaypur tomorrow morning to review its preparedness and the various facilities to be provided to the public.
“JP Nadda will visit AIIMS Vijaypur tomorrow morning to take stock of the preparations, different health services to be provided to the people, and assess the institute’s readiness before it opens to the public, as well as its ability to handle emergency situations,” Dr. Shakti Gupta, Director of AIIMS Vijaypur, informed Rising Kashmir.
It is worth mentioning that AIIMS Vijaypur has not yet started services for the public, including OPDs, patient admissions, or any other services. Sources indicate that staff training is still underway in Delhi across different categories. The institute will become operational once this training is completed.
