Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Kashmir. It will be his first visit to Kashmir after the neutralisation of 370 and 35 A. He is likely to address a public rally in Srinagar on 7th March. Prime Minister is a nationwide tour ahead of the announcement of the Lok Sabha Elections. These visits are being focussed on the achievements of his governments and the implementation of the various schemes that have had an impact on the lives and the livelihood of the beneficiaries. In Srinagar he is also slated to address the beneficiaries of the central government schemes. He is supposed to address the public rally at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC).It will also include the beneficiaries virtually from the far flung areas. Recently he had visited Jammu on 20th February and addressed the public rally at MAM Stadium, Jammu. He addressed the beneficiaries of various schemes and interacted with them. He inaugurated various projects and initiatives worth 32,000 crore and dedicating them to the nation. Last time he had visited Kashmir in February 2019 ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. Before that he had also addressed a public meeting Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium in November 2015.Narendra Modi is arriving at a time when the political parties are raising the pitch for the Assembly Elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The emerging political scenario reveals that the Lok Sabha Elections are going to be highly competitive. As the Prime Minister is taking the personal interest in the  seeking the feedback of the masses on the various schemes. This will surely go a long way in devising the electoral strategy based on the ground situation in Jammu and Kashmir. He surely has an ear to the ground. Even before taking the reins of power at the centre. He was well aware of the political condition in Jammu and Kashmir. He had visited Kashmir when BJP  unfurled the tricolour in Lal Chowk in the early 1990’s.His two back and back visits  to Jammu and Kashmir and the next one to be followed to Kashmir in the first week of March  will be game changer. It is good that he is taking the personal interest to interact with the people. Prime Minister’s concern will bridge the gap that had developed between Srinagar and New Delhi due to the ethno-religious conflict. It will send a positive message among the masses that the New Delhi cares and means business. Neutralisation of Article 370 and 35 A has paved the way for the mainstreaming of Jammu and Kashmir. Not only that it will enable the equitable development of all the regions. The concern of the masses regarding the regional discrimination has to be dealt with and Jammu and Kashmir taken to new heights of development. Jammu and Kashmir needs development, socio-political stability and the participation of the youth in the nation building. People are eagerly waiting for the Prime Minister in Kashmir and listen to his vision for the people of Kashmir who have faced bloodshed and conflict for more than three decades now. Electoral process will surely change the dynamics and will give an indication of the political wave in the valley. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has evolved as a global leader who has the conviction and capability to lead the nation towards achieving new goals of excellence. Kashmir has faced terrorism patronised by Pakistan and eclipsed its growth .It will be interesting to hear Modi, when a new regime has taken the reins of power in Pakistan and China is  spreading its tentacles in the Himalayas and the Indian Ocean Region. What will be his policy to deal with the belligerent Pakistan and subversive China in order to keep Jammu and Kashmir peaceful only time will tell?
