Jammu, May 25: Jammu, May 25: MLA Surinder Kumar of Marh took action to address a long-standing issue in the Phalian Mandal area by intervening to facilitate the removal of unauthorised barriers erected on the link road near the toll plaza on Ring Road.
This move comes as a relief to the local citizens who were facing difficulties in commuting due to these barriers, the MLA said in a statement issued here.
“The barriers, which were installed without proper authorisation, had been a point of contention for the local residents. They had been raising complaints about the inconvenience caused by these barriers, which were obstructing their daily commute,” the statement added.
The removal of the barriers will significantly ease the commute for the local residents, reducing travel time and inconvenience. “This development is a testament to the MLA’s commitment to addressing the concerns of his constituents and ensuring their well-being,” the statement said, adding that the citizens of the Phalian Mandal area have expressed their gratitude to MLA Kumar for his efforts in resolving this issue. They said his intervention has brought a sense of relief and satisfaction to them.
Kumar, in the statement, said that addressing the genuine grievances of the people in the Marh constituency is his topmost priority. “As the elected representative of the people, he has been actively working to resolve issues affecting his constituents. Kumar has been accessible to the public, listening to their concerns and working towards finding solutions. This approach is crucial in rebuilding trust between the public and elected officials after a six-year gap in legislative representation in Jammu and Kashmir,” it added.
The MLA’s efforts to address the needs of border villages demonstrate his commitment to ensuring the well-being of all constituents, regardless of their location, the statement said. “By prioritising the genuine grievances of his constituents, Kumar aims to drive development and progress in the Marh constituency.”
