Srinagar, Feb 21: J&K Peoples Democratic Party (J&K PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday visited the residence of Mufti Nasir ul Islam to offer her condolences on the demise of his revered mother.
She was accompanied by District President Srinagar Ab Qayoom Bhat, Incharge Constituency Habakadal Arif Laigaroo Ali Mohammad Baba, Mohammad Altaf, Bilal Ahmad, and others.
Conveying her sympathies with Mufti Nasir ul Islam Mehbooba recalled the contributions of his mother by sitting side by side to the Late Grand Mufti her husband and her son as well in shaping the society with better religious teachings and guidance.
Mufti also visited the residence of Farooq Nazki at Shivpora Srinagar for condolences and recalled her pre-eminent contributions to the field of literature and broadcasting profoundly. She said his demise has created a great void among literary circles of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Mehbooba visited Alochibagh to offer her condolences on the demise of senior congress leader Gh Mohammad Sheikh. Late Gh Mohammad was a close associate of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as well. She prayed for eternal peace to departed souls.
