Srinagar, Mar 07: From shaping young minds in classrooms to serving home-cooked meals across the city, Ruksana’s journey is a testament to resilience and determination.   Speaking to Rising Kashmir, she shared how she transitioned from an educator to an entrepreneur, building Ghari Batti Food Service, Srinagar’s first female-led tiffin venture.   Five years ago, Ruksana took a bold step into the food industry, defying societal norms to start her own business.   “I always had a passion for cooking, but turning it into a livelihood was a challenge,” she said. In just two years, her home-based tiffin service became synonymous with quality and nostalgia, offering customers the comforting taste of *"maa ke haath ka zayka."   She said that women-led businesses still face many challenges, but with the support of my family and a strong belief in myself.   “A woman’s role is not confined to what society dictates—it is defined by her aspirations,” she added.
