Srinagar, Dec 18: Over the years, 19-year-old Fardeem Hussain has toiled hard to prepare himself for international competitions. He simultaneously has been training a lot of fitness enthusiasts, which makes him the youngest fitness trainer in the valley.
A resident of Munwarabad, Srinagar, Hussain last year became the youngest certified trainer of Jammu and Kashmir
“I am the youngest certified trainer. Currently, I am holding online training sessions for the youth. In 2021, I was the youngest trainer at Gold Gym, which is one of the leading fitness chains in the world,” he said.
From Mr. J&K to transforming fat into a fit, his experience has helped scores of youth to achieve their fitness goals.
“Recently, I trained Tanzeel Hussain, an athlete from Anantnag who later bagged J&K Men’s Physique 2021 title. I am currently preparing a lot of my boys for various district, state, and national level competitions,” he said.
Fardeem is currently working as an additional secretary for the World Fitness Federation and Powerlifting Federation of India in Jammu and Kashmir which is known for holding various competitions in the union territory.
He is also associated with many gyms in the valley which he regularly visits and guides his clients regularly.
“I travel to various districts of the valley where my boys train in various gyms. I guide them with nutrition and the course of exercise to follow for next weeks to achieve desired results,” he said.
Hussain, who is Jammu and Kashmir’s youngest powerlifter is currently preparing himself for various international competitions.
“I am getting ready for international tournaments this year. My coach, Ishtiyaq Ahmad Khan, who also serves as the president of the World Fitness Federation and Powerlifting, India, is guiding me through this road. In 2023, I intend to submit my application for a number of international competitions,” he said.
Hussain believed adopting a fit lifestyle can only help the valley to get rid of drug addiction.
“Every time we hear that drug addiction has increased in the valley. Bodybuilding is not only a sport but a way of life. It teaches an aspirant or an athlete to live a disciplined life. It is our moral responsibility to raise awareness among the masses through various mediums to give up drugs and live a fit and healthy life,” he said.
