Srinagar, July 14: Chief Minister West Bengal and All India Trinamool Congress Chairperson, Mamta Banerjee on Monday expressed shock after authorities prevented Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, from visiting a martyrs’ graveyard in Srinagar’s Naqashband area.
In a post on X, Mamta Banerjee wrote, “What is wrong in visiting the graveyard of martyrs? This is not only unfortunate, it also snatches the democratic right of a citizen. What happened this morning to an elected Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is unacceptable. Shocking. Shameful.”
