Hyderabad, Sept 02:  Paying heartfelt tributes to the revered Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha recalled the extraordinary contributions of Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya towards instigating a scientific and industrial revolution in the country.
Addressing the gathering of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) alumni in Hyderabad today, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted Mahamana’s pioneering role in striking a delicate balance between modern science and technology and India’s rich ethos.
“ He initiated four significant departments in 1916 focused on science and technology – Science, Engineering, Chemistry and Technology, to serve the country as well as its future aspirations,” Sinha added.
Lt. Governor Sinha also emphasized how Mahamana transformed BHU into a nurturing ground for well-trained individuals who have not only served India but have also made significant contributions to the progress of several other nations.
Lieutenant Governor “Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya laid the very foundation of our knowledge society and played a pivotal role in disseminating the benefits of science, technology, and education to various industries,” stated the Lieutenant Governor.
He further emphasized how the ideas and ideals of Mahamana have illuminated the path to crafting modern India into a front-ranking scientific power.
“Our nation has reaped immense benefits from Mahamana’s multifaceted vision. His tireless efforts to construct a sturdy framework for science and technology paved the way for exploring new horizons of scientific knowledge,” asserted the Lieutenant Governor.
The event witnessed the presence of distinguished BHU alumni and prominent personalities from various walks of life, who gathered to commemorate the enduring legacy of Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya.
