Lt Gen Manjinder Singh flagged off ‘Golden Jubilee Cycle Expedition’ from Nagrota

Jammu, Oct 02: White Knight Corps undertook a cycling expedition on Sunday to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of White Knight Corps.
The official spokesperson said that the expedition was flagged-off by Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, GOC White Knight Corps on 02 October 2022 from Nagrota Military Station in J&K.
The expedition consists of two Officers, one JCO and twelve soldiers, of 16 Corps Signal Regiment. The expedition will traverse mountainous and treacherous routes of approximately 700 kms in 12 days, with an aim to foster camaraderie and esprit-de-corps amongst serving soldiers and veterans and inspire youth. The cycling team, enroute, will pay reverence to Bravehearts of the Nation who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country. The Veer Naris will also be felicitated in Jammu region. The expedition will be ‘Flagged In’ on 14 October 2022.
On culmination of the run, Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, GOC, White Knight Corps and Barinderjit Kaur, Zonal President AWWA felicitated the winners and the participants. In the 10 Km run, SepoyMohd Saddam stood first in the men’s race and Lt KritiSaxena stood first in the women’s race. Master Vibhum Pandey and Shivali came first in the 5 Km category. The participants who completed the 5 Km and 10 Km run were awarded with finisher medals.
