Jammu, Apr 08: Following a thorough assessment of the security situation, intelligence agencies have granted clearance for the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh (UP), Yogi Adityanath, to hold a rally at the Sports Stadium in Kathua on Wednesday, April 10.
Adityanath, serving as the Chief Minister of India’s largest state, Uttar Pradesh, enjoys Z+ security. He is a prominent campaigner for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and oversees a state with eighty Lok Sabha seats.
Dr Devender Manyal, BJP General Secretary and former minister in the BJP-PDP government, confirmed the selection of the Sports Stadium in Kathua as the venue for Yogi Adityanath’s rally.
Yogi will kick off the party’s Lok Sabha campaign in Jammu & Kashmir by addressing the rally in Kathua on Wednesday. Following his rally in Kathua, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a mega election rally at Modi Stadium in Udhampur on the 12th of this month.
Ravinder Raina, President of the J&K unit of BJP, has expressed anticipation for a historic rally at Udhampur, with an expected turnout of around 2 lakh people.
This will mark Yogi Adityanath’s first visit to the J&K Union Territory. The BJP’s J&K unit has mobilized party leaders from the Mandal level up to the district level to ensure maximum turnout and make both Prime Minister Modi and Yogi Adityanath’s rallies historic events in J&K.
The planned election rally of Home Minister Amit Shah in Jammu on the 9th of this month was postponed due to his busy schedule.
The Parliamentary elections in J&K UT for all five Lok Sabha seats will be held in five phases, with each phase covering one seat. The election schedule is as follows: April 19th for the Kathua-Udhampur Lok Sabha seat, April 26 for the Jammu-Reasi seat, May 07 for the newly created Rajouri-Anantnag Lok Sabha seat, May 13 for the Srinagar seat, and May 26 for the Baramulla Lok Sabha seat in the Kashmir region.
