KPPL Edition-III : Tridents, Moon Strikers script emphatic wins

Jammu, Dec 13: Tridents Cricket Club and Moon Strikers Cricket Club on Wednesday registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing Kashmiri Pandit Premier League (KPPL) Edition-III, being organised by Lalitaditya Education, Sports and Health Organisation, under the patronage of its President, Anil Bhat and overall supervision of Ankur Bagati and Ashish Kachroo at KC Sports Club ground, here.
In Wednesday’s first match, Tridents Cricket Club got the better of Picks XI  in an exciting contest with 2 wickets.  
Batting first, Picks XI scored a modest total of 133 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Vinu top scored with 39 runs off 33 balls, studded with 5 fours and one six.
Surinder Raina was the pick of bowlers for Tridents Cricket Club, who took 4 wickets by conceding 11 runs in his 4 overs.
In reply, Tridents Cricket Club chased the target in a tough contest on the penultimate ball of the match by losing 8 wickets, thus winning the match by 2 wickets. Sujal Raina top-scored with a power-packed 65 runs off 47 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes.
For Last Picks XI, Dhiraj Kumar Bhat and Ajay took 2 wickets each. Sujal Raina was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant batting display.
In another match,  Moon Strikers got the better of Tullmul Tigers in an easy contest by 56 runs.
Batting first, Moon Strikers scored a good total of 177 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Deepak top scored with 55 runs off 36 balls, studded with 7 fours and 2 sixes, while Ankit Raina contributed 52 off 36 balls with 6 boundaries.
For Tullmul Tigers, Rajeev took 2 wickets.
In reply, Tulmull Tigers scored 121 runs in 20 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process, thus losing the match by 56 runs. Sunil Handoo contributed 34 runs off 43 deliveries including 6 fours. 
For Moon Strikers, Vishal took 4 wickets by conceding 13 runs in his 4 overs, while Sandeep Bhat claimed 2 wickets. Vishal was adjudged the Man of the Match for his magnificent bowling show. Anil Bhat, President Lalitaditya Education and Health Organisation was the chief guest in post-match presentation, who along with Secretary of the Organisation Vinay Koul honoured man of the match awardees.
