Srinagar, April 20: Reinforcing its legacy as one of Kashmir’s most trusted and socially conscious brands, Khyber Cement has proudly extended its support to a spirited team of 35 rowers from Jammu and Kashmir set to compete in the prestigious Federation Cup (Men, Women and Mixed), scheduled from April 21 to April 24 at Bhalswa Boat Club, New Delhi.

The grand flag-off ceremony was held on Sunday morning at Zabarwan Park, Boulevard Road, in the esteemed presence of Tanvir Sadiq, MLA Zadibal, who commended the dedication and talent of the young athletes. Representing Khyber Cement was Wasim Ahmed Khan, Chief of Sales and Customer Relations, reaffirming the company’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and community development through sport.

“At Khyber Cement, we don’t just build with strength—we build dreams, ambition, and a future our youth can be proud of. Supporting this rowing team reflects our philosophy that Kashmir deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated on the grandest stages,” said Mr Umar Tramboo, Director of Corporate and Strategy, Khyber Cement. “We are proud to be the wind beneath their oars as they row towards national and international excellence.”

The Federation Cup is not only a prestigious national platform but also serves as a qualifier for the 17th World Rowing Championship, slated to take place in Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany, from July 16 to July 20. As the region’s finest rowers prepare to compete at the highest level, Khyber Cement’s support stands as a beacon of hope and pride. Recognised as one of Jammu and Kashmir’s most respected brands, Khyber Cement continues to lead not only in infrastructure development but also in empowering world-class talent. More than just a construction brand, Khyber Cement is the pride, promise and pulse of Kashmir.
