KCSC behaving like a true cricketing surface as batters score big, bowlers prove lethal

Jammu, Feb 16: KC Sports Club (KCSC) Jammu is behaving like a true cricketing surface in the ongoing Kashmiri Pandit Premier (KPPL) League Edition-4, as the good batters are scoring big runs on lightning outfield and the quality bowlers are proving lethal on their day. All in all, a fantastic wicket.
Meanwhile, Tridents Cricket Club, KRSNA XI and Hustlers Cricket Club got the better of their rivals and registered resounding victories in Kashmiri Pandit Premier League (KPPL) Edition-4 on day-6 of the tournament at KC Sports Club, here on Friday.
Earlier, in the first match, Tridents Cricket Club defeated Punchmukhi Cricket Club in an easy contest by 7 wickets.
Batting first, Punchmukhi Cricket Club scored 116 runs in 20 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process.
Arvind Pandita top scored with 49 runs off 36 balls, studded with 7 boundaries, while Keerti Bhat contributed unbeaten 22 runs.
For Tridents Club, Surinder Raina, Manmohan Raina and Sandeep Sunny took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Tridents Club chased the target easily in 13.1 overs by losing 3 wickets to win the match by 7 wickets.
Nikhil Bhan played a brilliant innings of 47 runs off 37 balls, studded with 5 fours and one six, while Amit Wali and Vicky contributed 26 and 29 runs to the total respectively.
Ramesh bagged 2 wickets for Punchmukhi Cricket Club.
For his brilliant batting display, Nikhil Bhan was adjudged as the man of the match.
In another match, KRSNA XI got the better of Spartans XI in a close contest by a narrow margin of 7 runs.
Winning the toss and batting first, KRSNA XI scored a good total of 188/5 in 20 overs.
Charukesh Zutshi top scored with 47 runs off 31 balls studded with 9 boundaries, while Anil Raina contributed 44 runs off 30 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Swapnil Bhat, Anmol Harkar and Vansh Pandita contributed 27, 23 and 19 runs to the total respectively.
For Spartans XI, Puran Raina took 2 wickets, while Anmol Wali and Sahil Pandita claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Spartans XI managed to score 181 runs to lose the match by 7 runs.
Surya Vaishnavi top scored with 41 runs off 32 balls with 5 boundaries.
Rohit Koul and Vansh Pandita took 2 wickets each for KRSNA XI.
Charukesh Zutshi was adjudged as the man of the match.
In the third match, which was a day-nighter, Hustlers Club thrashed Sharika Cricket Club by 9 wickets in a one-sided affair.
Batting first, Sharika Cricket Club bundled out for paltry 60 runs in 14.5 overs.
Akki top scored with 20 runs off 26 balls with one boundary, while Rohit Handoo contributed 8 runs to the total.
Rohan Koul, Gourav Koul, Sunny Mattoo and Amrit Koul took 2 wickets each for Hustlers Club.
In reply, Hustlers Club chased the target easily by losing one wicket to win the match by 9 wickets.
Shubham Hangloo scored 34 runs off 15 balls, studded with 4 fours and 2 sixes, while Rohit contributed 15 runs to the total.
Vinod Dhar claimed the lone wicket to fall.
