Srinagar, Nov 24: Shah Qalander Folk Theatre in collaboration with Bomai Bandh Theatre and Qaram Buland Folk Theatre Thursday released a book ‘Kathe Manz Kath’ written by late Ghulam Hassan Betab, a well-known folk theatre artist of north Kashmir.
Noted folk theatre artists, writers and President Adabi Markaz Kaamraz Mohammad Amin Bhat were present on this occasion.
The Chief Guest on this occasion was former finance minister Muzaffar Ahmad Beigh who along with Safeena Beigh D.D.C Chairperson Baramulla graced the occasion.
On this occasion, several grand shows of folk theatre (Band e Paether) , rouf dance, Bach-e-Naghmeh, Kashmiri Chakri, Nukkad Naatak were presented by professional artists which enthralled the audience including the dignitaries.
Nayeem Hassan son of late Ghulam Hassan Betab was awarded by All J&K Folk Artists Association in presence of Chief Guest and D.D.C Chairperson.
While speaking on the occasion Muzaffar Ahmad Beigh reiterated the importance of art & culture and literature.
Mushtaque Ali Ahmad Khan Renowned Film Maker , Gulzar Ahmad Bhat renowned Festival Director and Chairman All J&K Folk Artists Association, Rafiq Masoodi Ex Secretary JKAACL, Athar Farooq, Fayaz Telgami, Sagar Nazir, Mushtaq Sempori, Muhammad Yousuf Sameem, Ayoub Sabir, A.T Lolabi were also present on this occasion.
In his welcome address, Nayeem Hassan said that he is overwhelmed to have the book written by his late father released at this big event at Tagore Hall.
He further said that he is happy that the current government is keen to support the artists of J&K.
