Kashmiri duo’s ‘Ishq’ strikes chords globally, soars to Instagram reels Top 12

Srinagar, Mar 20: Ruhaan Malik, a talented young singer hailing from Achbal village in Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla District, along with his co-singer Faheem Abdullah, has captured the hearts of music enthusiasts worldwide with their latest chart-topper, ‘Ishq’.
The soul-stirring track has not only become a sensation on the internet but has also resonated globally, earning praise from diverse audiences for its emotive composition.
Ishq’ has clinched the 12th spot on Instagram Reels worldwide, underscoring the song’s magnetic appeal and the duo’s burgeoning fame.
In an Instagram post, Ruhaan Malik shared insights into the depth of ‘Ishq’, a seemingly simple word that encompasses profound meaning. The song, counted among his favorites, showcases his dance-worthy composition skills. The lyrical finesse of Amir Ameer, from the album ‘Lost’, complements the duo’s vocal prowess, propelling ‘Ishq’ to instant stardom since its release on March 9th.
The song’s rapid dissemination across social media platforms has been hailed by netizens as a masterpiece. Renowned Kashmiri singer Babar Mudacir praised the track, describing it as “Haiii, amazing work! Deep in the universe.”

Ruhaan Malik, one of the singers of the song, shared with Rising Kashmir that he and Faheem Abdullah began working on the song two years ago, gradually refining it by incorporating various elements.
He mentioned that their previous song “Jhelum” caught the attention of TM management, a prominent label for independent artists operating under the name artist e first. “They assisted us in producing the song, and we finally recorded it in Delhi two months ago,” he revealed.
The song is part of an album titled ‘Lost’, founded by Faheem Abdullah and jointly composed by both of us,” he concluded.
