Srinagar, Aug 24: The Jammu and Kashmir Private Hospitals and Dialysis Centres Association (JKPHDCA) strongly condemns the recent attack on an on-duty doctor at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Kralgund in Kupwara district. According to a statement issued here, Mir Faizan, President JKPHDCA while condemning the act said, “We are deeply disturbed by this violent incident, which poses a significant threat to the safety and well-being of healthcare professionals.Faizan further said, “The JKPHDCA unequivocally condemns any form of violence against healthcare workers, emphasizing that such acts are unacceptable and compromise the delivery of medical services”.”We urge the authorities to ensure the safety and security of healthcare professionals, allowing them to perform their duties without fear of violence or intimidation” Faizan further added.Dr Masood ul Hassan, General Secretary of the association while appreciating the lodging of FIR by police according to media reports said, “more needs to be done and we believe that ensuring the safety of healthcare professionals is crucial for maintaining the integrity of healthcare services in Jammu and Kashmir”.Dr Hassan further said,”The association stands in solidarity with the healthcare community, emphasizing the need for a safe and secure working environment. We are committed to providing quality healthcare services to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and expect the authorities to protect our healthcare professionals”.
