J&K teams leave for 44th Sub-Junior National Volleyball C’ship

Jammu, Dec 31: The Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Sub-Junior Volleyball (Boys & Girls) teams were on Saturday flagged off for competing in the 44th Sub-Junior National Volleyball Championship for Boys & Girls scheduled to be held at Delhi from January 3 to 8, 2023.
The teams are accompanied by Subhash Kumar Sharma, Neloofar Habib, Mulkh Raj Sharma, Neha Bhagat, Anil Kumar and Sageer Ahmed as managers and coaches respectively.
BOYS  Team: Rajat Sharma  (Samba), Yasir Hamid Bhat (Kulgam), Harshit Raina (Poonch), Himanshu Saini (Jammu), Bilal Ahmed (Poonch), Rahal Singh (Jammu), Raman Singh (Jammu), Raghav Tadia (Kathua), Aman Kumar (Samba) Gourav Sharma (Kathua), Kshitij Bandral ( Udhampur) and Amit Kumar (Jammu).
GIRLS Team: Jiya Charak (Samba), Payal Sharma (Poonch), Safoora Rizwan (Jammu), Sonali Sharma (Udhampur), Shabnam Kousar (Rajouri),  Salma Kousar (Rajouri), Himani Dogra (Samba), Arzoo Jamil (Rajouri), Sheetal Kumari (Udhampur), Monika Bhushan (Samba), Urfie Jan (Kulgam) and Humehra Jan (Jammu).
Prior to proceedings for nationals, the teams underwent a 16-day-long  intensive Coaching Camp at M.A. Stadium, Jammu under the supervision of Ashok Singh Divisional Sports Officer Jammu, J&K Sports Council, and  Satish Gupta Manager Indoor Sports Complex.
On the occasion President of the Volleyball Association of J&K, Sidharth Daluja in presence of other office bearers also distributed sports kits and tracksuits to the players and officials and extended their best wishes to the team for bringing laurels to J&K in the national event.
Earlier, Divisional Sports Officer Jammu, JKSC, Ashok Singh and Member of Sports Council, Nitin Sharma screened J&K Volleyball teams at M.A. Stadium Sports Complex Jammu.
